CAPTAIN CHARLIE FARRELL’S

SWEET SPOT CHARTERS

PORT MANSFIELD FISHING REPORT
June 23-25, 2005

Fished offshore Thursday and Friday. Snapper to 12 pounds were taken free lining herring. Kings were plentiful and interrupted a solid surface snapper bite. Smaller snapper were taken on the bottom in 40 feet of water. Several sharpnose sharks played havoc with the tackle on Thursday. A few snapper were cut off by larger sharks. Kingfish were between 20 and 30 pounds. Spent Saturday in the bay. The early morning bite was phenomenal. Constant trout action with a few intermingled reds rounded out a perfect weekend on the water. Big trout was 27 inches caught in 4 feet of water on a dark soft plastic. Reds aggressively hit red and white TRKs. Reds were also found in 3 to 4 feet of water.

Good Fishing,

Capt. Charlie Farrell
